But God

perhaps I've not been put here to be strong

but am here instead to show God's power

holds, even when I can or cannot stand

perhaps I've not been put here to be held

but am here instead to show God's presence

sure, even when I will or will not fall

perhaps I've not been put here to be whole

but am here instead to show God's concern

true, even when I do or do not weep

perhaps I've not been put here to be safe

but am here instead to show God's shelter

firm, even when I am or am not sure

perhaps of every reason why I am here

the only one that matters is God

and every reason for my being is Him
