a week after Friday Morning

"I will do whatever you ask in My name

that the Father may be glorified

if you ask Me anything in My name

I will do it"

yes!

"I'm sorry

we did everything we could

but they didn't make it"

why?

my God, why?

my life

from beginning to today

is so phenomenally blessed

I blush to tears

all of this is a gift

the great and the small

gifts from the great and merciful God

and in this here

and in this now

surrounded by ... all of it

fully aware that God is good

is infinitely more than all His blessings

my mind keeps returning to the bereaved

weighs their loss against all I have not lost

(confused by the 'unfairness' of it all)

against all that we have asked

(so small a thing, it was

the life of one child

a daughter of The Creator

He who spoke all into being

surely, He is not powerless

He who gave His own Son

surely, He is not without mercy)

to find faith strong

but wrestling with doubt
